1. PNR Privacy Guarantee
RailTrack does not permanently store, log, or sell passenger PNR numbers or names. PNR lookups are ephemeral queries transmitted directly over TLS encrypted channels to retrieve charting information and immediately discarded from runtime memory.
2. User Account Information
When you register an account to follow trains, submit reviews, or upload photographs, we store your username, email address, and hashed passwords. Passwords are encrypted using salted bcrypt hashing.
3. Cookies & Telemetry
We use secure HTTP-only session cookies to authenticate user sessions and retain local preferences (such as recent train searches and followed train lists).
